The training that the students received under the ideals background of lofty ideals enabled them not only to soar high culture in material field but also imbibe the great spiritual / of our land acquire virtues, dedicate themselves to selfless service with love leading to universal vision and universal brotherhood. After pandyaji the school was blessed with successive teams of Headmasters and staff fired with all these noble qualities. I was lucky to have spend six school years under the canopy of my alma mater in the year 1936-1942 when revered Sri. K. Rangaswamy Iyengar was the Headmaster amount the teaching profession. His charming divine personality was a sight to see. He paid personal attention to each and every student and also remembers his name.

The school used to stand first in the annual SSLC results for several years in the entire Madras presidency under British India. Many teams of teachers and students from the neighbouring towns used to visit this school to know the secret behind its laurels.

Anecdote: Having lost my beloved mother in my eight year the fate struck another cruel blow, which resulted in the death of my father when I was studying in IV form. Suddenly cut away from succor and sustenance I approached the Headmaster Sri. K. Rangaswamy Iyengar and told him that I am discontinuing my studies as I could not afford to pay my monthly tuition fees, for which the Headmaster replied thus.

'Nagarajan, you are one of the bright students of the school. What if your father is no more? I am here to help you. Continue till SSLC. I will pay you monthly fees and also supply the required textbooks and note books. Please don't stop away.' What a soothing and assuring words. Sri. K. Rangaswamy Iyengar, possessed in large measure the rare qualities of love, compassion and consideration for others. He did keep up his promise and lived upto the old adage that 'the hands that help are nobler than the lips that pray'.
